Who WE ARE
Our leadership’s collective experience simply can’t be beat by big box stores. A family business for decades, Capitol Door Sales knows all about doors, windows, hardware, and moulding.
Dave Hosmer, President
Dave joined his father at Capitol Door Sales in 1980. He has been instrumental in building the business from a two-man operation into the staff of 26 Capitol Door Sales has today, and took over as company president in 1991. Dave is active in the community through his association with Ceres rotary. He and his wife Liz are parents of four adult children and have two grandchildren. He enjoys singing in Modesto Symphony Orchestra Chorus, playing the guitar, and working around the house and in the garden. Dave is committed to providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction.
Kelly joined the company as the third employee in 1982. He is one member of the team that has done virtually every job in the production shops. This gives him unparalleled understanding of the mechanics of door and hardware projects, making him the consultant of choice for contractors and do-it-yourselfers. He is the father of three boys and 2 grandchildren, and enjoys being grandpa to an extended family with his partner Terry.
Doug Robinson, Secretary Treasurer
Doug has been with Capitol Door Sales since 1991 following a long and productive career at McWilliams Lumber Company. His easy going and patient nature make him the perfect salesman for individuals working on ultra-custom homes and home improvement projects. Doug has exceptional product knowledge and a wide variety of skills and contacts to work though any problem solving scenario. Doug is happily married to Donna and the proud father of three adorable cats. He enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time in Monterey.

Pam first served as office assistant and later as office manager. As General Manager Pam is committed to presenting a company of professionalism that can meet anyone’s needs for quality goods and services. In her spare time Pam enjoys reading and entertaining friends and family. She and Derrick are the parents of two daughters and grandparents of the two most precious grandchildren in the world.
Originally from Virginia, Mark came to Capitol Door in July of 1990 after a brief stint at a church furniture manufacturing facility. Marks fastidious and analytical nature makes him a perfect candidate to execute and coordinate Commercial Door and Hardware sales and projects. He is an Architectural Hardware Consultant and has put his skills to work in specifying and providing products to schools, industrial buildings, shopping centers, and apartment buildings, just to name a few. Mark and Kathleen are the proud parents of 3 adult children and an ever-expanding number of grandchildren. Playing with grandchildren, reading, and gardening are his favorite extracurricular activities.
Bryan is Kelly’s oldest son and was practically born and raised in the door business. As a teenager Bryan started helping around the shop when he was still in high school, and since then has been with the company for over 20 years. He has tackled the most complicated and difficult tasks presented to him, and his calm and patient demeanor is perfect for directing the efforts of the most accomplished shop personnel in the area. Bryan and his wife are proud parents of an exceptional daughter and have become a fixture in the Modesto community. After family and work, fishing is number three on his list of things he likes to do.
